JOB OPENING: Operations Director

Job Overview:

Unmanageable is seeking an Operations Director to support day-to-day operations. This is a part-time, grant-funded role with the potential for extension based on future funding. The position offers flexible hours, remote work, and the opportunity to work in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Support:

  • Schedule meetings and coordinate travel arrangements as necessary.

  • Monitor key deadlines and milestones to ensure operational success.

  • Prepare, print, and mail donor acknowledgment letters.

  • Implement streamlined operational processes and systems (e.g., project onboarding/offboarding).

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive database of program contacts.

  • Assist in maintaining a donor database by promptly entering gifts and donations.

  • Draft and manage fiscal sponsorship agreements and contracts.

  • Implement systems for organizing and archiving digital and physical documents.

  • Handle shipping or mailing logistics as needed.

  • File the Tennessee Annual Report, Charitable Solicitations permit renewal, and maintain public profiles on platforms like Guidestar and Charity Navigator.

  • Assist in making updates to the website and to flyers, one-sheets, and other materials.

  • Support in event planning logistics as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with tools such as Slack, Google Docs, Canva, Squarespace

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Experience with donor management software is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of nonprofit operations is desirable but not required.

Compensation:

  • $40/hour

  • 10-20 hours per week

  • 24 weeks, with an anticipated start date of February 1, 2025.
